What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 116

OK, the work desk looks pretty calm, I think.  The ever present and now it's on the narrow tape - totally indispensible- ATG tape gun, a couple of samples for the Paper Engineering workshop on Thursday, new glasses - I'm loving their colour,  and a couple of ink pads I've been trying out.  I'm going to review them, actually.  Don't hold your breath though, you know what I'm like.  Well, I guess calm is probably not what you'd describe it as, I suppose it is a bit of a mess. Ah well, you never expected different, huh?

Can I say to the many of you who were sweet and fretful about the mass of computer wires in the photo a couple of posts ago - I found the pic on one of those copyright free photo websites.  My cable area doesn't look like that.  My cables are all different colours.

I also want to use my own blog to publicise and promote without shame.  I know this is contrary to the rule of WOYWW, but well.....you know....if I didn't exercise a double standard now and then, you'd think it was someone else writing these posts.
Over at 2 Scrap Ladies, we've announced another Magnetic Year in a Day event. That's it, plug over!

So now.  Please share your work desk/surface/lap tray/ironing board/piano lid with us.  Whatever you're doing, upload a photo to your blog, link here and let us enjoy it too.  And expect us to be looking to see what you've got...we do, so hide it if it's a secret!!

Love the overhead view of your desk, feels like I'm really looking down on all your goodies. Cute little gift bag there and I'm still dithering about getting an ATG gun!

You have NO IDEA how long it took me to see those glasses. I even tried to enlarge the photo and still didn't see them. Finally! On top of the glue syringe. BTW, do you think you have enough glue, pop dots, redliner tape, and other assorted adhesives on your desk? I think these outnumber my rocking horses!

I don't think that's at all messy, and those projects look fab. Off to nosey at the link...

Okay Julia...I was heading off to bed early tonight until I started reading your purple plug into the pink post! As frustrating as it must have been, you indeed made it very entertaining LOL!

The paper engineering samples look great and the desk is really reasonable considering you are creating so it's allowable. I've just ordered my 3rd ATG gun....already got one for me and a spare for when I'm teaching as everyone wants to try/borrow it. Now I'm getting a pink one especially for narrow tape and it's a bargain too!! They are breeding here!

That game - find the glasses- good one but took me ages, and I don't wear glasses myself (note: make an opticians appointment!). Lovely things happening on your desk today.

This is MY kind of desk! Love the projects going on... and especially love the creativeness that is just oozing from your desk :)
Bits of scrap paper? check
Sticky stuff? check
Work tools - including obligatory ruler and scissors? check
pretty paper? check
small plastic containers? check

Yup... think you got it all covered there *lol*
Have a wonderful WOYWW!

Ohoo yes, I do love your little card baggy thingie, that's bag with a Y not bag meaning big and baggy, coz they're not, they, it, looks lovely. Love the paper, how did you bring your self to cut it!?! I'd have to close my eyes... which is why I don't cut into my papers very often, the ones I've had for years, because, once cut, in all the wrong places, because I had my eyes cut, the thing I was hoping to make, never looks quite like it should. Have a great day, and Happy WOYWW!

Love the paper but the ribbon - oh my that is fab ribbon! Hope the close up of your desk doesn't mean that all the REST of your ribbon is hanging out of it's jar.... LOL!
I was quite willing to believe those cable were yours - must be more gullible than I thought...
Have a great day - I too, hope the shingles are behaving!

Must admit those cables had me worried too. Colour coding works huh! Not got much on my desk at the mo as pulled a muscle and can hardly move, but the ideas are growing in my single grey brain cell well....! Enjoy WOYWW!

KatzElbows said...

Love the desk. Although with the tweezers and the syringe you look as if you're about to torture someone!

Lisa-Jane said...

I'm so glad to be joining in again and I had a tidy up! Glad to see you back again too - I bet you were hyperventilating there for a while. I like the look of that little bag / card, very sweet.

Elizabeth said...

Ah, a close-up ... I think I know what that means :) Can't see the colour of those glasses but is it grey? Love the dotty paper and the pocket piece you've made using it. I do wonder what someone who just stumbles in would think of the syringe!!! Hope you have a better week this week. Elizabeth x #51

Love that dotty paper!! The card and bag you are making are lovely! Thanks for sharing! x

Those cables looked horribly like a file server room where I used to work - only the dried out mugs and chocolate wrappers were missing!

I spied Velcro circles too, presumably for fastening the dinky little bag :)

I like it - it means you're doing fun stuff! I smiled when I saw your ATG gun -- I bought one recently. Was cussing like a sailor because I was having trouble loading the tape in it - haven't used it yet. LOL. But when you see my desk you'll see why - I haven't made a card or layout for a few days -- just getting messy in other way.
Hugs,
Deb

I love playing "Where's Waldo" on your desk picture, but unless my eyes have gone bad, I can't find the glasses that you mentioned. Lol. And you didn't explain the syringe! Heehee. It looks like the one I've used for applying whitening gel to trays so I'm assuming it's some sort of gel applicator and you're not an addict. Have a nice day, you!

Ooops. I stand corrected. I found the glasses, they were just sideways. Lol.

Hi Julia - thank you for visiting my blog ... I'm a Devizes girl through and through currently living in Summer Wine country, West Yorkshire! Most of my crafting is done in the kids playroom (will be my craftroom one day ...), but as I look after lots of children it all has to be packed away very carefully ...!
